CURRICULUM

We follow age-appropriate early childhood practices at our preschool. We closely follow recommendations made by
the National Association for the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC). We are members of the parochial school
system of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod which provides additional training, guidance and resources for us.

Children learn best when they are active with all five senses. Also, children learn differently. Some are auditory
learners, meaning that hey learn best what they hear. Others are visual learners who learn best when they can use their
eyes. Still others are tactile learners who always seem to be “into messes” but are in fact analyzing and processing
what they get their little hands into.

Our program recognizes the need to provide an abundance of experiences so that every child can be excited about
learning!

Chapel

There will be a weekly visit to the sanctuary. The children will worship, sing, pray and explore the truth of God’s Word.
Children are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item each week as the child’s offering. These items will be
donated to the Peters Township Food Bank.
